# Extremely Useful

I have been using this app for a few weeks now and it has been super helpful. I have constant money anxiety and this allows me to look into my habits. It gives me challenges on what I can do to reduce spending and save money. It’s also easy to navigate, making it no hassle.

- Initially, prior to downloading Peek, I was under the impression that I was aware of each financial transaction and was managing my finances well. The comprehensive breakdowns provided by Peek were really eye-opening and helpful in both highlighting areas of improvement and which areas I was managing well. Being able to see transactions of different categories, as well as external income all centralized in one place was useful in breaking down expenses. I would highly recommend this app, as it is useful even if you have external financial trackers.

- I like the concept. But the app experience is far too chatbot-like and not very conducive to helping me manage my finances better. Feedback-wise, I would not make the chat the core medium of the way the user gets guidance! That’s something I can go to ChatGPT for and get a much better experience. Instead, abstracting away walls of text and having me choose big buttons in a friendly onboarding (which is the norm for most apps) and then showing me the best catered finance plan for my position would be a lot more useful. I really hope this app gets better because I’ve been looking for a real AI finance copilot, but this just feels like another chatbot with a bit of pretty branding.

# Has potential, UX needs to improve

- The app is super user-friendly and easy to use not to mention very visually appealing. It doesn’t overwhelm me the way some other finance apps do. I especially love the AI chat feature because it makes it so simple to gain quick insights about my spending without having to dig through numerous menus and instructions. Overall, it makes me feel much calmer and more in control of my money, which is exactly what I needed. Excited to keep using it!

# A Helpful Money App that Doesn’t Overwhelm

- I was super hesitant about putting in my bank information since it asks for it straight at the beginning. You can’t bypass it. However, they use Plaid which is a safe reliable way to keep your information safe. Once I made my account, I had to say I’m so happy I did. It’s super user-friendly. Tells me exactly where my money really goes and gives tips on how to save money.

- I joined Peek after all the buzz about its AI. Turns out, it's just like every other budgeting app. It labeled a restaurant charge and simple transfers between checking and savings as “uncategorized” — and counted those transfers as both income and expenses. Seriously? I expected AI that can at least handle basic logic or, I don’t know, Google a transaction name. Not going to waste time fine-tuning another app — I’m already doing that elsewhere. Deleting the app and my account. Meh, the whole experience was underwhelming. Tried to delete my account — now the app is stuck in an infinite “Deleting user profile” loop. If they’re this sloppy with user experience — their supposed core value — I’m genuinely starting to worry about data security. That's all you need to know about this half-baked product.
